 Incumbent will review policy documentation initially to determine coverage and beneficiary information and set up the claim once the coverage has been verified.  Work the incoming receipts of documents and assign the necessary Examiner.  Key payment steams into policy administration system for Life Settlement Option contracts.  Process settlement options checks daily.  Provide accurate and effective verbal and written communications to support the companys field force, beneficiaries, and third parties. A degree in Physics, Statistics, or Economics may suffice provided there is a strong concentration of mathematics. • Completion of one or more of the actuarial exams. • Must provide support to and work collaboratively with the production rating team and other Actuaries. • Coordinate with Analytics, Underwriting, Marketing, and other areas to support good analysis, decisions, and product design.

• Incumbent is accountable for contributing to the development of new products and in the determination of rate for new products and existing business. • Incumbent must also assist in monitoring the loss experience and conducting studies to analyze profitability, competitiveness, and adequacy of loss reserves.

• Bachelor’s degree required. • AIC certification preferred. • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. • Computer skills with Excel and Word preferred. • Effective communication skills including negotiations, conflict resolution, and customer complaints. • Previous experience in construction, auto repair, estimating or prior experience in claims is preferred, but not required. • Must be able to perform various physically demanding job functions included but not limited to, carrying a ladder that weighs in excess of fifty pounds, climb ladders, walk on roofs, crawl under houses/cars. • Must be able to work in adverse weather and work conditions, with some extended stay away from home.

• Adjusters investigate, process, and pay claims for property and casualty policies written by Alfa agents. • Responsible for handling all company property and casualty claims assigned to the position in an efficient and accurate manner. • Investigate, evaluate, and perform estimates of damages of claims which involve Auto, Property, and Commercial losses in his/her respective area.

• High School Diploma required. • Lawn maintenance and general maintenance experience using hand tools. • Knowledge of safety procedures/company specific procedures. • Physical demands, to include, bending, stooping, and lifting objects up to 75 pounds.

• Keep all exterior property clean of trash, debris, stains, etc.; grass areas, roadways, parking lots, garages, loading dock area, walls, doorways, fountains, glass frames, and glass. • Maintain and organize interior of maintenance building, air handling rooms, storage areas, and generator rooms. Maintain chemicals, oils, and fuels in a safe manner. • Perform electrical maintenance, plumbing maintenance, and general maintenance. • Assist Maintenance Mechanics, Print Shop, and Telecommunications in various duties.

Monday – Friday 6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. On call for after hour emergencies.
