Alfa Insurance Names Bradwell, Forrest Executive Vice Presidents
MONTGOMERY, Alabama (Nov. 16, 2016) — Alfa Insurance President Jimmy Parnell has named Angela Cooner Bradwell and Scott Forrest executive vice presidents.
Bradwell serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel while Forrest oversees human resources and financial operations as Executive Vice President of Administration. The move formalizes Alfa’s® Executive Leadership Team, which also includes Executive Vice President of Operations Steve Rutledge, Executive Vice President of Marketing Al Dees and Alabama Farmers Federation Executive Director Paul Pinyan.
“Angie and Scott already are key players on our senior management team,” said Parnell. “As executive vice presidents, they will have even greater opportunities to help Alfa realize its strategic vision to ‘Serve, Grow and Be Healthy.’ I appreciate their leadership and dedication to our customers, members, employees and company.”
Bradwell joined Alfa in 1997 as Assistant General Counsel. In 2005, she was promoted to Vice President and Associate General Counsel with responsibility for corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, investments, accounting, regulatory compliance, real estate, human resources, employee benefits and agent issues. She was named General Counsel in 2014.

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Bradwell grew up in Hernando, Mississippi. She graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1988 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and earned her juris doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1991. She is married to Jeff Bradwell and has two children, Hollis, 18, and Maggie, 16.
Forrest joined Alfa in 1992 as a Tax Specialist. He was promoted to Manager of Compensation in 1995 and to Vice President, Compensation, Benefits and HRIS in 2001. In 2013, he was named Senior Vice President of Human Resources and assumed leadership for the Finance Department earlier this year.

Forrest holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Alabama. His professional certifications include Senior Professional, Human Resources (SPHR) from the Society of Human Resource Management and Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) from the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans. He is also a former Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Forrest has one son, Taylor, 25.
