Alfa Insurance Names Frazee Chief Information Officer
Montgomery, Ala. (May 7, 2013) - An information technology executive with more than 20 years experience in insurance and financial services has been named senior vice president and chief information officer for Alfa Insurance.Back to Press Releases
Jeffrey A. Frazee comes to AlfaR from Aviva, the sixth-largest insurance group in the world with more than 43 million customers in 21 countries.
"Jeff has a proven track record of improving information technology (IT) operations at respected U.S. and global organizations including General Electric, Aviva and Mutual of Omaha," said Alfa President Jimmy Parnell. "We are confident he can leverage the investment Alfa has made in technology to improve customer service and increase efficiency."
A graduate of Bellevue University, Frazee was responsible for Aviva's technology operations in the United States including management of 500 IT resources and multiple outsourcing contracts. He previously served as senior vice president and chief information officer for West Bend Mutual Insurance Co., where his work with 300 IT associates and 500 independent agency offices contributed to West Bend's #1 "ease of doing business" rating among more than 250 property and casualty insurance companies.
Frazee formerly served as chief information officer for General Electric's insurance affiliate and as vice president of information technology for Adelphia Communications Corp., a cable television and high-speed Internet company. At the Mutual of Omaha Companies, Frazee progressed from information services manager to vice president and ultimately senior vice president of information services.
He is credited for restructuring the IT organizations at Aviva, General Electric, West Bend Mutual Insurance and Adelphia Communications. He also implemented enterprise-wide planning and prioritization committees across 11 business units at GE and Aviva.
Frazee's expertise includes development of leading-edge agent portals, broker connectivity, e-business and predictive analytics initiatives.
In recent years, Alfa has become a leader in business analytics while enhancing convenience through its MyAlfa® portal and Alfa2Go™ mobile app. The company has invested in security and business continuity initiatives to ensure policyholders are served during disasters.
"My goal is to continue the maturation of the Alfa's IT and PMO (project management office) organizations, while advancing the customers' experience and generating cost savings that can be passed along to policyholders," Frazee said.
Frazee and wife, Cher, have one son, Noah. They are relocating to Montgomery from Iowa.
