Forrest Promoted To Senior Vice President Of Human Resources For Alfa Insurance

Montgomery, Ala. (Nov. 26, 2013) - Alfa® President and CEO Jimmy Parnell has named Scott Forrest senior vice president of the company's Human Resources Department. Forrest's promotion, effective Dec. 1, follows the retirement of Tom Bryant. "

For more than 20 years, Scott has served Alfa employees in almost every phase of Human Resources," Parnell said. "His knowledge, dedication and straightforward approach have earned him respect throughout the organization. We are fortunate to have an outstanding team that ensures our employees enjoy a productive, secure and rewarding work environment. I look forward to working with Scott in his new leadership role."

Forrest said he looks forward to serving Alfa and its employees in this new role.


"As an Alfa employee for nearly 22 years, I've witnessed a lot of changes within the company," Forrest said. Forrest began his career with Alfa in 1992 as a tax specialist. He was promoted to manager of Compensation in 1995 and named vice president of Compensation, Benefits and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) in 2001. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Mississippi State University, and a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Alabama. His professional certifications include Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Alabama and Senior Professional, Human Resources (SPHR) from the Society of Human Resource Management. He also holds the designation of Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.

Forrest has a son, Taylor, 23.
