Bailey Named Alfa Insurance Senior Vice President of Claims
Alfa Insurance Executive Vice President of Operations Tommy Coshatt recently announced the promotion of David Bailey to Senior Vice President of Claims, effective June 1. Bailey, who most recently served as Regional Vice President, moves into this new role following the retirement of 36-year Alfa veteran Bryan Hubbard.
Coshatt said Bailey has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, integrity and commitment to the organization, proving his ability to excel in this new role.
“David’s passion for claims shows in everything he does,” said Coshatt. “His knowledge and expertise have been instrumental to the Claims Department. I’m thankful for his leadership and unwavering commitment to maintaining the positive reputation Alfa’s claims team is known for.”
Bailey said he’s humbled by this opportunity and looks forward to building on the strong foundation that’s been set before him.
“Our customers often reach out to us during difficult moments, and it’s our responsibility to respond with professionalism, compassion and a commitment to doing what is right,” said Bailey, who joined Alfa in 2005 as a Claims Adjuster. “Alfa’s core values of Faith, Family, Community and Integrity are not just words — they guide how we treat people and how we work. I intend to lead with those principles at the center of every decision.”
Bailey received a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Brigham Young University. Additionally, he holds the Associate in Claims designation from the Insurance Institute of America and a Certificate of Legal Studies from Huntingdon College. A member of the Alabama State Bar, Bailey earned his Juris Doctor from Birmingham School of Law. He and wife Laura live in Wetumpka and have two sons, Connor and Matthew.
