Johnson Named Senior Vice President of Business Innovation
Alfa Insurance Executive Vice President of Operations Tommy Coshatt has announced the promotion of Crystal Johnson to Senior Vice President of Business Innovation.
“Crystal has played a vital role in Alfa’s technology initiatives and expansion of business capabilities,” said Coshatt. “The Business Innovation team works to operationalize and optimize initiatives while implementing things never done before at Alfa. I’m confident Johnson will continue to flourish in this new role while strengthening the future of Alfa.”
In this new role, Johnson will be responsible for Digital Engagement & Acquisition, Digital Experience & Retention, Project Management Office, Quality Assurance & Testing, and serve as the Operations lead for Alfa’s Customer Payment Center.
“Her proven leadership skills and ability to improve processes in achieving company goals have been instrumental in delivering personalized service Alfa customers deserve and expect,” Coshatt added.

A graduate of the Alfa Leadership Academy, Johnson received a Bachelor of Science degree in social science from Florida State University and joined the Alfa family in 2004. Crystal serves on the advisory board for Britton YMCA and also enjoys volunteering with Hope Inspired Ministries in Montgomery.
Crystal will represent Alfa Insurance in the 2022-2023 class of the Alabama Leadership Initiative. She and her husband, Alfa Lead Software Engineer Adam Johnson, have two children — Will (16) and Emilee (14). They currently live in Wetumpka
