2021 Alfa Cares Recap
2022. A new year is here, and the days are like a book that has yet to be written. The new year brings with it a chance to start fresh, make changes to the things that aren’t working and improve on the things that are. It’s a great time to examine yourself and realign your focus. At Alfa®, Community is important to us.
Here are some ways Alfa employees served and contributed to bettering their community in the last year.
Christmas Clearing House $3,388.74 raised
Home office employees donated funds to participate in an Alabama/Auburn dress down day to support their favorite sports team while aiding those in the River Region who need holiday assistance.
American Red Cross and LifeSouth Community Blood Drives 70 productive units of blood donated
This spring, our annual blood drive was a success as we contributed to the emergency need for more blood donations. Did you know 1 blood donation may save up to 3 lives?
United Way $160,000 total 2021 donations
Through payroll deductions and various fundraisers, our generous employees are making a difference in their communities thanks to their donates to the local United Way.
Montgomery Food Bank Drive 1,764 pounds of product and $1,547.85 raised
Through non-perishable food and monetary gifts, our employee’s donations convert to 10,062 pounds for an overall total of 11,826 pounds to assist those in need for food in our community.
American Cancer Society $15,000 raised
Through our Alfa Cares initiative, we were able to raise $15,000 to assist cancer research, prevention, and education.
The service doesn’t stop there. Throughout the year, employees participated and donated to the Sunshine Center, Adullam House, and Relay for Life.
We have employees who serve on boards for United Way, Family Violence Center, Salvation Army, Goodwill Industries, National Kidney Foundation, St. Margaret’s Foundation, Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center, Alabama Baptist Foundation, Children Center, Hospice of Montgomery, and American Red Cross.
