Alfa Insurance® Executive Vice President of Marketing Mark Evans recently announced the promotion of Matt Cobb to Senior Vice President of Marketing Services, effective Dec. 18. Cobb most recently served as Vice President of Marketing Services.
Evans said Cobb’s background and strong work ethic will serve him well in this new role.
“Alfa is blessed with a deep bench of leadership talent, and Matt is certainly part of that list,” Evans said. “As Vice President of Marketing Services, Matt has enhanced the effectiveness of the Customer Resource Center while coordinating with Underwriting to increase efficiency. Matt also has worked with Advanced Sales to more than double commercial premium over the last three years. This and other sales goals were supported by Matt’s work on sales contests, lead campaigns, co-op advertising and new technology. I’m excited to see what he will achieve in this new role.”
Cobb was also instrumental in launching Alfa’s first virtual service center in Augusta, Georgia in 2023, he added.
“I appreciate his initiative in rethinking the ways we serve customers and tackling projects once thought impossible at Alfa,” Evans said.
Since joining the company as an agent in 2008, Cobb has seen tremendous success in his 15-year tenure. Following his 2021 promotion to Vice President of Marketing Services, Cobb gained responsibilities for Alfa’s Marketing Resource Center, Center 4 Learning, Advanced Sales and Field Resources teams.
“I’m extremely humbled and thankful for this opportunity,” Cobb said. “I look forward to creating and strengthening partnerships across the company as we strive to put Alfa’s customers first. Our goal is to provide the exceptional service and products our customers deserve.”
Cobb — a former Tampa Bay Rays pitcher — holds a bachelor’s degree from Faulkner University and a master’s degree from The University of Alabama. He is also a graduate of the Alfa Leadership Academy.
He and wife Laura live in Millbrook with their children, Baylor, Aly and Maddux.
