Palmore Named Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Facilities

Alfa Insurance President Jimmy Parnell recently announced the promotion of Stephanie Palmore to Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Facilities, effective Feb. 28. Palmore’s promotion is part of a reorganization following retirement of Executive Vice President of Administration Scott Forrest, a 30-year veteran of the company.
Parnell said Palmore’s extensive knowledge of human resources practices and background with the company will help her be successful in this new role.
“Stephanie is a proven leader who brings a unique perspective from working in a variety of roles and teams at Alfa,” Parnell said. “It’s this expertise that will help her build upon Scott’s legacy as she helps the organization keep pace with the ever-changing HR responsibilities of a growing company.”
He added, “Stephanie is committed to the success of this company and our team members, and I know she will continue to do great things as we work together to serve our customers and communities.”
Palmore joined the Alfa family as a File Clerk in 1996. In 1999, she worked as a Monthly Billing Clerk before being promoted to Senior Documentation Analyst in 2001. In 2002, she took on a new role as Compensation Analyst and was promoted to Compensation Manager in 2019.
In this new role, Palmore will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Human Resources, in addition to managing the company’s Facilities and Procurement teams.
Forrest described Palmore’s performance throughout her career at Alfa as ‘outstanding.’
“With a strong background in Human Resources and more than 20 years of experience under her belt, I know she’ll continue to do well in this new position,” Forrest said.
Palmore said she’s honored by this new opportunity and is excited to work with Alfa’s leadership team, employees and all business units to further serve this organization.
“I’ve worked in several departments throughout my career at Alfa, which has allowed me to build relationships and perspectives on the company as whole,” Palmore said. “I’m excited to use those experiences to foster employee development, maintain a healthy and engaging work environment, and to support our business units as we work to achieve our collective goals together.”
Palmore earned a Bachelor of Human Resources Management from Faulkner University and holds the distinguished SHRM-CP credential for HR professionals. She and husband of 20 years, Rickey, currently live in Millbrook. They have two sons, Caleb and Cohen.
