News Alfa Insurance Extends Grace Period To Customers Impacted By Hurricane Sally 09/18/20 Alfa Insurance is offering to temporarily suspend policy cancellations due to non-payment of premium and waive late fees for policyholders facing financial hardship due to Hurricane Sally. A 30-day extended grace period is available for Alfa farm, automobile, homeowner and other property policies. “We realize the devastating impact Hurricane Sally is having on our neighbors and communities,” said Alfa Insurance President Jimmy Parnell. “When disaster strikes, Alfa is the first to answer the call. We’re happy to be a part of easing the immediate impact from this storm.” Alfa is sending additional claims adjusters to serve the hardest hit areas in south Alabama where Hurricane Sally caused widespread power outages, road closures, flooding and property damage. “We know many policyholders are focused on securing their property and helping neighbors,” Parnell said. “Alfa is grateful for our loyal customers and is blessed to have the financial strength to help them weather the storm.” To request an extended grace period, policyholders should contact their local Alfa service center or 1-800-964-2532. Hardship requests will be reviewed based on individual circumstances for customers whose policies were in force on the date of Hurricane Sally and who live in impacted areas. Customers may also make payments and file claims at AlfaInsurance.com or through the Alfa2Go® mobile app.
